I've just completed watching the 60 Minutes report concerning the Wilsons, and the CIA leak and I'm once again astounded and appalled.

The clarity of the report was unmatched. Ed Bradley cut directly to the issue: What outing a CIA operative means to the operative, their family, the nation and our security.

The idea that the executive branch of the United States would even consider such a move FOR ANY REASON is unthinkable, but for a PETTY POLITICAL VENDETTA makes it even worse. This report showed this administration in a clear unvarnished light.

It's one thing to be incompetent. It's one thing to be self-serving. It's one thing to arrogant...but it crosses the line to destroy the institutions that are protecting our nation at a time of war.

The clearest quote came from a former agent and friend of Valerie Plame.

She wasn't undermined by the North Koreans. She wasn't undermined by the Russians. She was undermined by officials of our own government, and I find that galling.

These people need to be arrested and locked up so that the rest of us are safer in this very dangerous world.
