Porn less than 1% of existing 8.2 billion web pages

So where do they get the top search on google or the alleged $1 billion revenue ? Those 1% web pages must be "dog eared" from all the "reading" they get. Sheesh!!! -- law

Bizarre News blog sez:

Greetings fellow Bizarros:
I read an interesting article today which indicated that out of 8.2 billion cataloged web pages on the Internet, only about four-tenths of one percent consist of hard-core porn. These are, of course, very fuzzy numbers because there is no one place to go for a complete record of what is being published, but even if the numbers are WAY off what might it amount to at the very high end...two...three percent?

But the really interesting thing is that according to an article in Forbes magazine this four-tenths of one percent generates an estimated annual revenue of $1 billion.

What I'd like to know is where this $1 billion is coming
from? Consider this, there must be thousands, even tens
of thousands of free adult sites on the Internet. And most
pay sites offer free teasers to get you to subscribe to
their site or service (I'm basing this on information
gathered from TZ and Chadwick, of course)....

Bizarrely,

Lewis
