Dick Cheney's most trusted advisor was indicted on 5 felony counts yesterday. In addition, it was Cheney who told Scooter Libby that Joe Wilson's wife Valerie Plame was a CIA agent on June 12, 2003, nearly a month prior to Joe Wilson's NYTimes Yellowcake Op-Ed (for those who say the Bush Administration was countering Wilson's "lies", Wilson had not even gone public yet), who in their right mind believes that Scooter Libby was a rogue agent in his actions? Who honestly can believe that? We all KNOW that he was doing Cheney's bidding. Fitzgerald knows it. The Media knows it. Hell, Wingnuts know it.

So let's be clear, what Patrick Fitzgerald has described is a political smear campaign, whose principal tool was the disclosure of CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, in contravention of the laws of the United States and to the detriment of the national security of the nation.

And we all know this is what happened. Let's not beat around the bush or pretend. We know. The Wingnuts know. Fitzgerald knows. Bush knows.

And here is what the good ole NYTimes has to say:

Vice President Dick Cheney makes only three brief appearances in the 22-page federal indictment that charges his chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby, with lying to investigators and misleading a grand jury in the C.I.A. leak case. But in its clear, cold language, it lifts a veil on how aggressively Mr. Cheney's office drove the rationale against Saddam Hussein and then fought to discredit the Iraq war's critics.

The document now raises a central question: how much collateral damage has Mr. Cheney sustained?

That's.. an effing CENTRAL question?

That is so effed up that there is nothing more to say. Elizabeth Bumiller is easily the worst reporter in Washington DC. Imagine how bad you have to be to earn that title.
