TX Governor: Chris Bell, StemPAC Board Member Running

Folks, just wanted to pass on the word that former Congressman Chris Bell, a member of the StemPAC Advisory Board, has just launched his campaign for governor of the great state of Texas.

You may love him because he was the one who filed the ethics complaint against Tom Delay. We at StemPAC love him because he's been a tireless and eloquent fighter for stem cell research.

Here's a particularly relevant blurb from his announcement speech:

"And while we're on the subject of abortion politics, can we just ask why stem cell research got dragged into this? We have the best doctors in the world here in Texas, but they're falling behind the competition in Korea. We need to have faith in the future and fund stem cell research just like California and New York State and Illinois have done.
