Daily Kos: Four Star False Flag?

Mabey I'm just being paranoid about things, but after Bush's last month long vacation at the beginning of his first term, and the immediate happenings right when he returned, one can't blame me.

It was announced today that four star General Kevin P. Burns, commander of Army Training and Doctrine Command, was relived of his duties.

* McGirk SF's diary :: ::

The Army announced no specific allegation against Byrnes, but a senior official said it involved unspecified sexual misconduct. The official spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the allegation.

From Article: " Disciplinary action against officers is not rare, but it is extremely unusual in the case of a four-star general. An Army spokeswoman, Lt. Col. Pamela Hart, said records from the General Officer Management Office show no cases in recent history in which a four-star general has been relieved of duty for disciplinary reasons.

Byrnes, 52, a Vietnam veteran who entered the Army in 1969 as a second lieutenant, ranked third in seniority among the Army's 11 four-star generals.

A two-sentence statement issued by Army headquarters in the Pentagon said Byrnes had been relieved of his position. It gave no reason except to say, "The investigation upon which this relief is based is undergoing further review to determine the appropriate final disposition of this matter." -end

Now right here I find it strange. The military tends to go out of its way to cover up any allegations, and stonewall any investigation. (Air Force Academy, Abu Graeb) For them to come out and publicly announce this is out of character. It dosen't appear to have links to any other scandles, just quotes from unnamed Defense Department officials of alleged sexual improprieties, nice, quick, and effective. Gee, with all the evedence and statements involved with other scandels, they don't do shit, but all of a sudden they will dismiss a Four Star General without specifications? Where did this sudden moral integrity come from?

Well, we all know how the Bushies react to career military and intelligence officials who don't buy thier neo-con (dis)perception of reality, and will not hesitate to smear them. So what could there problem be with Gen. Burnes?

Well, I have no clue, never heard of him before. All I know is where he was stationed, Fort Monroe, Virginia. Now whats going on there right now? Exercise drills for reaction to a nuclear attack. Kind of an odd time to replace a General in charge of such important operations. I wonder if it had anything to do with whistle blowing? After all, it was just a couple of weeks ago disgusted military officials leaked the story that Dick Cheney (And why not Bush? Who's really in charge?) already gave orders to attack Iran with tactical nukes if another terrorist attack happend. (Don't bother investigating who's responsible first? That's giving a free pass for any non-Iranian enemy right there.)
